“Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand. It is the greatest gift anyone can give.”

This ‘quote’ should be a wake up call to all of us – that this statement is what someone, maybe a Christian, maybe not, thinks of what God, Christ, the Holy Spirit is.  No disrespect to the writer, but in love and truth, it’s up to the Believers to peel away the platitude to reveal the whole truth of God’s love.

Something fluffy, feel-good and means precisely nothing that edifies Believers – and only tickles the ears of the reader to confirm whatever they thinks or believe.  We need to be careful about truth because God is a consuming fire.  God will not be loving to everyone in the end.  He knows who is His and He will exercise final judgement once and for all.  We know how this all plays out.
